These pictures were taken at the Denver March Powwow on March 23-25, 2012 by myself and my sister. I decided to use these pictures as my alternative series on watercolor paper transfered with hand sanitizer. I wanted to use these pictures because I feel that these are the types of pictures you don't see very often because a lot of people don't manage to get nice pictures like this. I also really like the movement in the first, third, and fourth pictures because those are moments that many people have trouble capturing, especially if they don't have a professional camera. In all the pictures, I really like different amount of space left as a border. The graininess of the pictures also really intrigues me because it somewhat mutes the colors, and I prefer the muted colors to the brighter ones, except in the first picture. The brightness of the pink really helps you focus more on her than on the background, whereas the more muted colors like that of the second picture help create a more stoic type of feel to the picture as a whole.

Semester 1 of Sophomore Year
The first semester of my sophomore year was certainly eventful, not just at school, but at home.
I really wasn't excited for the school year to start, but first hour math class with Mr. Burns made it bearable. Third hour gym made me feel better, but it also made me really irritated sometimes. I met some great new people, and even a person I went to elementary school with. I was also in the musical we did, Camelot. Not a major role, just a chorus member, but it was still a lot of fun. The rest of the cast made it worth it to stick with it, they are all so welcoming and funny, it didn't feel like I was being forced to go to practice, I actually wanted to go! But at the dress rehearsal the week of the show, someone stole my phone from the choir hall. That certainly put me in a bad mood for the rest of that rehearsal. But the show made me forget that. One of my best friends whom I haven't seen in almost 2 years got to come, and that made me really happy. The performances went well, except for a few wardrobe malfunctions and messing up the worst song.
I really needed winter break though. Everything was getting to be too much.
